Frequently Asked Questions

How can I apply?

Organizations can submit their initial interest form on the “Get Funded” tab. Once form has been submitted and guidelines have been met an application packet will be sent to email address provided.

How does RevComm choose who to grant?

All applications are reviewed by the the board, who will decide the organizations that best fit our funding guidelines and community needs.

How long after applying will I receive funding?

All applications are reviewed by the the board after application deadline and a award decision will be made within 30 days.

My organization is based in RevComm's community, but our work is done outside the United States. Can I still apply?

Unfortunately no, RevComm reserves funding for organizations that directly impact Southern California communities.

What are the application deadlines?

RevComm Foundation has two open enrollments application windows for grant funding. Winter funding will be from  November 1st – December 31st and Summer funding will be from May 1st – June 30th.

If your organization meets the guidelines a full proposal will be due 1 month from the season’s deadline (January 31st or July 31st.)

What geographic areas do you fund?

RevComm Foundation will only fund organizations based in Southern California.

Do you do multi year grants?

No. At the core of RevComm Foundation’s mission is to service start up organizations by providing critical support during the infancy stage only.

Can our nonprofit re-apply if we were previously awarded?

Yes. Organizations are welcome to reapply for grant funding as long as they continue to meet grant funding guidelines.

Can I apply for a grant at any-time?

RevComm Foundation will have two application windows throughout the year; Winter applications will be accepted from November 1st to December 31st. Summer Applications will be accepted from May 1st to June 30th.

How long does it take before grants are awarded?

The proposal review process will last 1 month and funds will be distributed within the following month.

Will our nonprofit be notified if we were not awarded?

Yes. All applicants will receive notification of board decisions.

How many grants do you award yearly?

The number of grants awarded will depend on fund availability.

Do you do site visits?

RevComm Foundation would love the opportunity to be invited on site to visit organizations.

Does your foundation offer any volunteer opportunities?
